Ferritic stainless steel is a chromium-based stainless steel containing little to no nickel, making it highly cost-effective while offering good corrosion and oxidation resistance.
It has a body-centred cubic (BCC) crystal structure similar to carbon steel and is known for its excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, stable microstructure, magnetic properties, and ease of fabrication.
